An additional monthly fee of £3 per swimmer is payable to First Strokes Swimming Club

Payment Methods

The preferred method of paying the Swim School is via their web site using Pay Pal. Click on this link  First Strokes Swim Schools. then click on "Enrolment" at the top of their home page, followed by "Swimming Club". Follow the instructions thereafter. Once Enrolled/subscription is set up this will be debited from the account of your choice monthly for one year.

If you really do not like this method you can also pay by cash or cheque at reception.

The preferred method of paying the Swim Club is via cheque for £36 to cover the fees for the year. Please put your fees in the box in the small spectator area by the notice board writing the swimmers name and squad on the reverse. This will commence from March 2009. Any existing outstanding fees should be paid up to March.

Joining Fee

There is a one of joining fee of £20.00 payable to First Strokes Swimming Club

Club Kit

If you wish to purchase all the training kit required you can do this at a cost of £30.00 This include

• Club swim hat

• Drinks bottle

• Kick Board

• Pull Buoy

• Flippers

If you have joined us from another club you may already have the kit and hence it is not necessary to purchase the equipment again. However you must have these items as soon as you begin training.

Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) Registration

In order to be a member of a Swimming Club you also have to be a member of the ASA (Amateur Swimming Association).   There are two different types of membership:

• Competitive  -  for swimmers who wish to compete in Open Meets / Galas  -  cost of £26.00 – payable in January of every year.   The cost is the same throughout the year, unless you join after October when there is no fee to pay.   Forms are available from Helen Walmsley. 
• Non-competitive  -  for swimmers who do not wish to take part in competitions  -  cost of £10.75 – payable in January of every year.   The cost is the same throughout the year, unless you join after October when there is no fee to pay.   Forms are available from Helen Walmsley.   If you wish to upgrade to a Competitive swimmer you can do so later on.   If your child is under the age of 9 there are limited opportunities for them to take part in competitions – this is therefore the best option until your child reaches the age of 9 or 10.

Your child will be issued with an ASA number and ID card once the paperwork has been processed by the ASA.   This number must be used when filling in entry forms for galas.
